BJP President Nitin Navin Accuses Rahul Gandhi of Supporting Immigrants
Nitin Navin, National President of India’s ruling party Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), has accused opposition leader Rahul Gandhi of siding with immigrants. Speaking at an event held Wednesday in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Lok Sabha constituency, Varanasi, Navin harshly criticized Rahul Gandhi. This statement from the BJP chief comes amid nationwide protests demanding the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar.
Opposition leaders, including Rahul Gandhi, have been continuously protesting for Gyanesh Kumar’s resignation. The Delhi Police detained them for two consecutive days before releasing them at night. Similarly, the Kakaroch Janata Party is also protesting, demanding the Chief Election Commissioner’s resignation.
“Regarding the lawlessness spread today in Delhi by some antisocial elements,” BJP President Navin said, “I want to tell opposition leader Rahul Gandhi – the Indian public will never accept your efforts to empower immigrants.” He questioned Rahul Gandhi, “Whose interests are you really concerned about and fighting for?”
He added, “If immigrants’ names have been removed from the voter list based on the Special Identification Register (SIR), and on that basis, you are questioning the country’s democracy, eventually the question will arise against you too.” Navin continued, “I believe the people of India will strongly respond to such anarchist mentalities and ideas.”
