Sohel Tanvir Appointed Head Coach of Chitwan Rhinos

The Chitwan Rhinos have appointed former Pakistani cricketer Sohel Tanvir as head coach for the third edition of the Nepal Premier League (NPL). Announced on Teacher’s Day, Tanvir previously represented Chitwan Rhinos as a player in the first two editions. With his international cricket and franchise league experience, the team aims to win the title under his leadership in the upcoming season.

On July 29th in Kathmandu, the Nepal Premier League franchise team Chitwan Rhinos confirmed the appointment of former Pakistani cricketer Sohel Tanvir as their head coach for the league’s third edition. The announcement was made by Chitwan on the occasion of Teacher’s Day. Previously, Tanvir had been associated with Chitwan Rhinos as a player during the NPL’s first two seasons. Now, he will take on the responsibilities of head coach for the team.

Tanvir, a former international player from Pakistan, brings experience from both international cricket and various franchise leagues as a player and coach. Chitwan Rhinos have set a goal to clinch the championship under his guidance for the upcoming season. As a player, Tanvir took 14 wickets in 8 matches during the league’s first edition and 8 wickets in 5 matches in the second edition.
