Texas Education Network: Setting a New Standard for Skill Development Alongside Degrees

Starting in 2009 with only 80 students, the Texas Education Network has established a significant identity in the educational sector over the past decade and a half. The college places special emphasis on providing students not only with theoretical knowledge but also practical skills in areas such as AI, cybersecurity, and entrepreneurship. Texas aims to connect education with both national and international contexts to empower students to be self-reliant and capable.

When around 80 students enrolled in 2009 and classes began from grade 11, Texas International College also had a similar vision. The biggest challenge for the new institution was not just managing classrooms or buildings but earning the trust of parents and students. The idea was to build an institution that, understanding the evolving society, employment, and education frameworks, would not only award certificates but also develop essential skills for the future.

The Texas Education Network has established its presence in various fields including management, information technology, and hospitality management. According to Jitendra Kumar Bakhuka, Managing Director of Texas, the journey in education was not merely about business expansion but focused on providing quality education and preparing students for changing times. “The vision was to build a long-term educational institution, not just a college,” he said.

Today, Texas International College and Texas College of Management and IT offer various academic programs. Pursuing the goal that students need not go abroad, the network fosters quality and internationally competitive education right here in Nepal. Texas continues to bridge education and business with the objective of making students self-employed and professionally competitive.
