Vinicius Junior Extends Contract with Real Madrid for Additional Six Years

Brazilian winger Vinicius Junior has signed a new contract extending his stay with Spanish club Real Madrid for an additional six years. According to an official statement released by the club, he will now remain at Real Madrid uninterruptedly until June 30, 2032. Since joining Real Madrid in 2018, Vinicius has played 375 matches and scored 128 goals for the club.

Real Madrid’s announcement confirmed the six-year extension with Vinicius, stating, “Real Madrid and Vinicius Junior have mutually agreed to extend the contract, which will keep him at the club until June 30, 2032. Vinicius Junior has become one of the most important players during one of the most successful eras in our history.”

Negotiations regarding the new contract had been ongoing between the club and Vinicius’ representatives for the past 18 months. Now, the winger continues to lengthen his career at what he has always described as his dream club, Real Madrid. Returning from the World Cup representing Brazil, he rejoined the club on Monday for pre-season training and fitness tests. Since signing with Real Madrid in July 2018 at the age of 18, Vinicius has featured in 375 matches over eight seasons, scoring 128 goals and winning 14 trophies. For the Brazil national team, he has played in 54 international matches and netted 13 goals.
