Hora Esports Begins Competition in PUBG Mobile World Cup Group B Today
Under the Esports World Cup 2026, Nepal’s Hora Esports is set to start competing today in Group B of the PUBG Mobile World Cup. The top five teams from the group stage will directly qualify for the grand finals, while those finishing sixth to thirteenth will advance to the survival stage. Hora Esports aims to secure a spot in the final phase of the tournament and is preparing to perform strongly in the group B matches taking place today and tomorrow.
Kathmandu, August 8 — Nepal’s Hora Esports will compete today in Group B of the PUBG Mobile World Cup as part of the Esports World Cup 2026. The Group B matches are scheduled for August 8 and 9 and include a total of 16 teams, including Hora Esports. The top five teams from this group will advance directly to the grand finals, while teams ranked sixth to thirteenth will enter the survival stage. The bottom three teams will be eliminated from the competition.
In the survival stage, 16 teams—ranked sixth to thirteenth from both Group A and Group B—will compete against each other. The top six teams from this round will qualify for the grand finals. The grand finals will feature 10 teams who qualified directly from the group stage and six teams who advance from the survival stage, making a total of 16 teams competing for the championship. Group A matches were completed on August 6 and 7. Five teams, including Pakistan’s Four Thrive, from Group A have already secured direct spots in the grand finals.
Alongside Four Thrive, India’s Orangutan, Mongolia’s Aurora, Vietnam/Singapore’s Team Flash, and Middle East’s Nigma Galaxy secured top five finishes in Group A to advance directly to the finals. Four of the five teams advancing from Group A represent the Asian region. Hora Esports now aims to put on an excellent performance in Group B to also secure a direct place at the grand finals. The matches over the next two days are crucial for Hora, representing Nepal. Should they finish within the top five of their group, they will bypass the survival stage and qualify straight to the final phase. However, if they place between sixth and thirteenth, they must compete further for a spot in the finals.
