National Sports Council to Convene Board Meeting After Eight Months; Key Issues on Agenda

The 125th board meeting of the National Sports Council is scheduled to take place next Wednesday after an eight-month hiatus. The main agenda includes setting the date for the 10th National Games and approving athletes and coaches for the 20th Asian Games. Additionally, discussions will cover the current fiscal year’s budget management, contractual appointments of technical staff, and the renewal of sports associations. Kathmandu, 24th Shrawan.

The National Sports Council (NSC) will hold its 125th board meeting on Thursday. Sanjita Pokharel, the Minister for Education and Sports and Chairperson of the NSC, has called for the meeting on 28th Shrawan, Thursday. This marks the first board meeting of the NSC after eight months. The last meeting was held on 9th Poush last year.

The meeting convened on Wednesday will cover agendas ranging from fixing the dates for the 10th National Games to approving athletes, coaches, and managers for the 20th Asian Games. The proposed 125th meeting agenda includes endorsements of sports participants, coaches, managers, and officials for the 20th Asian Games, setting the schedule for the 10th National Games, and critical budget-related matters.
