Food Management and Trading Company Opens New Sales Counter at Singha Durbar, Launches Affordable Price Stores Nationwide from Tomorrow

On the occasion of its seventh anniversary, Food Management and Trading Company Limited is set to inaugurate a new sales counter within the Singha Durbar premises. The Minister of Industry, Commerce, and Supplies, Gauri Kumari Yadav, is scheduled to formally open the sales counter on Thursday. The company has planned to operate affordable price stores offering a special discount of NPR 5 per kilogram and per liter on daily consumable goods at 193 locations across 44 districts nationwide.

Through this new counter inside Singha Durbar, consumers will be able to purchase all company products at discounted prices. The outlet will stock daily necessities such as rice, lentils, cooking oil, sugar, and salt, along with locally produced nutritious grains like chinno, kaguno, phapar, and simi. To mark the anniversary, the company has decided to commence operations of these affordable price stores countrywide starting Thursday.

According to the company’s information officer, Madhav Mishra, these affordable price stores will be established in 193 locations across 44 districts. Consumers buying daily essential goods from these outlets will receive a special discount of NPR 5 per kilogram and per liter. The company believes this initiative will provide some relief to consumers in their daily lives.
