Ferran Torres Departs Barcelona to Join Paris Saint-Germain

Spanish forward Ferran Torres has left Barcelona to join French club Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) for 50 million euros. The 26-year-old Torres has signed a contract with PSG until 2031 and will reunite with his former coach Luis Enrique.

Last month, Torres scored the decisive goal against Argentina, playing a crucial role in securing Spain’s second World Cup title. At Barcelona, he delivered an impressive performance last season, featuring in 49 matches across all competitions and contributing 21 goals along with 3 assists.

At PSG, Torres will again collaborate with former Barcelona player and coach Luis Enrique. Under Enrique’s leadership, PSG has won the Champions League title consecutively in the past two seasons. Previously, the club had also signed Magnus Akliusius from Monaco.

On Wednesday, PSG defeated Aston Villa 2–1 to claim the UEFA Super Cup. Torres joined Barcelona in 2022, following a two-year stint with Manchester City. He has represented Spain 65 times, scoring 25 goals.
