UK Reaffirms Full Support for Ukraine Amid Rising Tensions
The United Kingdom has announced its continued full support for Ukraine, with Prime Minister Andy Burnham affirming that the UK will always stand by Ukraine if necessary. Meanwhile, the Russian Embassy has accused the UK of escalating the Ukraine crisis and warned that continued involvement in the conflict would come at a “high price.”
Ukraine has intensified long-range drone attacks targeting various regions in Russia, including Moscow. These attacks have focused on oil refineries and warehouses associated with Wildberries. On September 19, from London (RASAS/KUNA), following confirmation that UK-made drones were used in recent Ukrainian attacks on Russia, the UK reiterated its commitment to supporting Ukraine despite Russian warnings.
In a statement, British Prime Minister Andy Burnham emphasized that the UK will always stand with Ukraine if required. When asked about the risks posed by ongoing military assistance to Ukraine amid potential Russian retaliation, he said, “We are providing Ukraine with the necessary support to defend itself, and this support will continue moving forward.”
At the same time, the Russian Embassy in London accused the UK of deliberately intensifying the Ukraine crisis. The embassy warned that if the UK maintains its involvement in the conflict, it will have to pay a “high price” and face the consequences. Recently, Ukraine has escalated long-range drone strikes across several Russian regions, including the Moscow area.
