Nakhipot Folks has announced the launch of its inaugural women’s futsal tournament starting from Bhadra 19 at the Futsal Village in Nakhipot. The organizers are expecting participation from approximately 32 teams and have indicated that team registrations must be completed by Bhadra 17. The winning team will receive a cash prize of NPR 101,000, the runner-up will get NPR 51,000, and the best player will be awarded NPR 7,500.

At a press conference held on Friday, coordinator Begha Limbu shared details about the tournament, stating, “This competition will be held annually on a continuous basis.” She explained that due to the growing interest in women’s futsal in Nepal, this event has been organized to provide greater opportunities to female athletes.

The tournament will take place over two days at the Futsal Village in Nakhipot. Each team is allowed to include up to three national futsal players. Interested teams must complete the registration process by Bhadra 17.
