Snakebite Claims Life of 12-Year-Old Girl in Baitadi

September 28, Baitadi – A 12-year-old girl died after being bitten by a snake in Baitadi. Susmita Chand, daughter of Lokendra Bahadur Chand from Pancheshwar Rural Municipality-4, suffered a severe snakebite while playing at home around 6 p.m. on Thursday afternoon. She was bitten in the courtyard and was critically injured. Despite receiving treatment at Dadeldhura Hospital, she succumbed to her injuries, according to Suraj Singh, spokesperson for the District Police Office in Baitadi. Susmita was a student at Tank Tilakpur Secondary School in Pancheshwar Rural Municipality-4.
