Annapurna Spiker Kings Sign Mongolia’s Star Outside Hitter Uranbayar for Nepal Volleyball League

Annapurna Spiker Kings have signed Uranbayar Munkhbayar, an outside hitter from the Mongolia national team, to compete in the Nepal Volleyball League. The 21-year-old Uranbayar won the Best Server award while leading Mongolia to a bronze medal at the Asian Eastern Zonal Men’s Volleyball Championship. The inaugural season of the Nepal Volleyball League is scheduled to begin on September 5 at the covered hall within Dasarath Rangashala, Tripureshwor, Kathmandu.

Uranbayar Munkhbayar, a prominent outside hitter of Mongolia’s national volleyball team, has been contracted by Annapurna Spiker Kings for the Nepal Volleyball League (NVL). For the first-ever men’s volleyball franchise league held in Nepal, Annapurna Spiker Kings have included the renowned Mongolian spiker to bolster the team. The club expressed confidence that Uranbayar’s participation will enhance the team’s attacking power, making it more potent, effective, and balanced.

Uranbayar is a key member of the Mongolian national team. His impressive performance at the Asian Eastern Zonal Men’s Volleyball Championship earned him the Best Server award. Standing 6 feet 6 inches tall, Uranbayar is known for his powerful spikes and effective serves. He has played for various clubs in Mongolia as well as in South Korea.

Annapurna Spiker Kings have introduced Uranbayar as their first foreign player signed for NVL. The team also includes experienced and prominent players from Gandaki Province such as Ravi KC, Bishwas Adhikari, Bibash Ale, Surendra KC, and libero Jitbahadur Sharki. Additionally, the team has selected Kiran Bhandari through a talent hunt event held in Pokhara. According to the Nepal Volleyball League regulations, each franchise team must select one young player through a talent hunt.
