Lākhē Dance Performance Raises Funds to Aid Flood Victims

Tokha Chandeshwari Dafa Khal: raised NPR 43,587 through a Lākhē dance performance to support flood victims. On 15 Bhadra in Kathmandu, the group showcased the cultural Lākhē dance during the rice planting festival in Tokha, collecting donations while parading around the Tokha Municipality area.

The collected amount was counted under the supervision of Dharmaendra Shrestha, Ward Chairperson of Tokha Municipality-2, according to Chandeshwari Dafa Khal:. The total NPR 43,587 is set to be deposited today into the Prime Minister’s Disaster Relief Fund. Active for many years, this Dafa Khal: has played a vital role in promoting Tokha’s Licchavi-era culture and traditions. The Dafa Khal: stated that such groups were established to protect religion and culture, focusing on humanity by serving those in crisis, reflecting the purpose behind this initiative.
