No People Found in Rasuwadhi Hydropower Project Tunnel Following Bhotekoshi-Trishuli Floods

Rescue teams have returned after failing to find any people inside the tunnel of the Rasuwadhi Hydropower Project. The Nepali Army reported that after no individuals were located within the tunnel of the Rasuwadhi Hydropower Project (RHPL), the rescue team decided to call off the search.

It was initially feared that some people were trapped inside the tunnel following Wednesday’s flood in the Bhotekoshi River. Government agencies have reported that hundreds of workers have lost contact due to flooding in both the Bhotekoshi and the downstream Trishuli Rivers, affecting various hydropower projects.
