Dawa Secures Bronze Medal for Nepal at Pickleball World Cup

At the ongoing third Pickleball World Cup in Da Nang, Vietnam, Nepal has clinched the bronze medal. Nepali player Dawa Sherpa secured the bronze by defeating a Brazilian opponent with identical scores of 21–12 and 21–12 in the men’s singles event. According to Saurabh Bhandari, president of the Nepal Pickleball Association, players from 64 countries, including Nepal, are participating in the World Cup.

President Bhandari noted that this marks a significant achievement in Nepal’s international pickleball journey, as it is the country’s first time participating in the World Cup and winning a bronze medal. In the match for third place, Dawa convincingly defeated the Brazilian player in straight sets to claim the bronze.
