Hong Kong completed their allotted 50 overs with 7 wickets down, accumulating 261 runs. At one point, the team had slumped to 133 for 7, but Babar Hayat, facing 127 balls, struck 7 fours and 7 sixes to score a resilient unbeaten 117. He forged a strong 128-run partnership with Ehsan Khan, who remained not out on 34. Shahid Wasif contributed 45 runs.
Nepal’s captain Sandeep Lamichhane bowled 10 overs conceding 44 runs and taking 4 wickets, while Sher Malla also bowled 10 overs, conceding 27 runs and taking 3 wickets.
