PUBG Mobile Global Open South Asian Fall Championship to be Held in Nepal

The PUBG Mobile Global Open South Asian Fall Championship will take place from September 16 to September 19 at the National Sports Council Covered Hall in Tripureshwor, Kathmandu. Jointly organized by Esports Association Nepal and PUBG Mobile, the tournament will feature 16 teams from South Asia competing for a prize pool of $40,000 USD. Nepali teams including Hora Esports, Ttuke, Hidden Leaf Esports, and The Gaming Broskiz will also participate.

Secretary of Esports Association Nepal, Ashish Dahal, and Imam Hossain Afridi, Global Sports Head at PUBG Mobile Esports, signed the agreement related to the event. The competition will include 4 teams from Nepal, 8 from Pakistan, and 4 from Bangladesh. A total of 24 matches, 6 matches per day, will be played over four days.

Dahal stated that following the successful conclusion of the national PUBG Mobile tournament, this time an international-level Global Open event is being organized in Nepal. Afridi, PUBG Mobile’s Global Esports Head, noted that PUBG’s popularity has made Nepal a fitting venue for a global esports event. This competition is being held with the approval of the National Sports Council and is being promoted in Nepal by Esports Association Nepal.
