An initial government report suggests that over seven billion Nepali rupees will be required for reconstruction following the floods in Rasuwa, illustrating the scale of the destruction.

The floods in Rasuwa, Nuwakot, Dhading, Gorkha, and Chitwan districts have washed away or buried approximately 7,570 private homes under sediment.

Officials have reported recovering around 1,400 bodies, often found in fragmented condition, while more than 5,000 people remain missing. They caution that a complete understanding of human losses may take months.

Over a dozen operational and ongoing hydroelectric projects within a 100-kilometer radius have been affected, signaling devastating physical damage and numerous fatalities or missing persons among local and international workers.

Shambhu Prasad Regmi, Chief District Officer of Nuwakot, noted that the border area between Nuwakot and Rasuwa was a bustling hub for pilgrims, trekkers, and traders.
