Vishwanath Sahani Arrested for Amputating Wife’s Leg After Binding Her

The Parsa District Police Office has arrested Vishwanath Sahani, who fled after inhumanely amputating his wife’s leg. On Chaitra 1, Sahani tied his wife Harikaladevi’s hands and feet and cut her left leg above the ankle with a sharp weapon. The injured woman received initial treatment at LS Neuro Hospital in Bara.

Haribahadur Basnet, spokesperson for the District Police Office, confirmed that Vishwanath Sahani, who amputated his wife’s leg and fled, was apprehended on Saturday. On Chaitra 1, the 30-year-old Sahani from Biruwa Tole, Parsagadhi Municipality–3, had tied his wife’s hands and feet and severely injured her by cutting her left leg above the ankle using a sharp weapon. The wounded woman was given preliminary medical care at LS Neuro Hospital in Bara.
