Darcy Short Joins Lumbini Lions Squad for Nepal Premier League 2026

Left-handed opening batsman Darcy Short from Australia has been signed by the Lumbini Lions for the Nepal Premier League (NPL) 2026 season. Lumbini Lions announced Short’s contract via their official social media channels. He played the entire previous season as part of the Lumbini team during their championship campaign.

Short is known for his strong performance during powerplays. He has represented Australia’s senior team in 23 T20 Internationals, scoring 642 runs. Overall, in 197 T20 matches, he has amassed 5,915 runs. He has played two seasons with the Adelaide Strikers and seven seasons with the Hobart Hurricanes in the Big Bash League, where he established himself as a highly successful player. Additionally, Short was honored as the leading player in the 2018 and 2019 BBL seasons.
