Nepalese Mixed Doubles Teams Prafull–Rashila and Kshitij–Rihana Exit in First Round at Asian Games Badminton

At the 20th Asian Games badminton mixed doubles event underway in Japan, both Nepalese pairs were eliminated in the first round. The duo of Prafull Maharjan and Rashila Maharjan lost 2–0 in straight sets to the Chinese Taipei team of “Ye Hong-Wei” and “Chan Nicole Gonzalez.” The Nepalese pair was defeated 14–21 in the first set and 9–21 in the second set.

Similarly, the pair of Kshitij Khanal and Rihana Sherchan was defeated 2–0 by the South Korean team of Jeong Naeun and Jo Song Hyun. The South Korean duo secured the match with scores of 21–5 and 21–6, advancing to the next round. With these results, both Nepalese mixed doubles teams have been eliminated in the first round of the badminton mixed doubles competition.
