Send-Off Ceremony for Athletes Participating in the World Gojuryu Karate Championship

Everest Martial Arts Training Club bid farewell on Friday to its 15 athletes who will participate in the 8th WGKF World Gojuryu Karate Championship. The competition will be held in Pune, India, from October 5 to 10. The team is scheduled to depart for India on Wednesday and will compete in both kata and kumite categories. Coach Ranjita Rizal and manager Ayusha Nepali will accompany the team.

The athletes include Anvi Shahi, Manisha Tamang, Ritu Karki, Bandana Tamang, Rajiv Chaudhary, Yanoj Maharjan, Bhasraj Dahal, Dipson Sapkota, Yaju Maharjan, Suvita Gautam, Melissa Gurung, Savir Shrestha Dangol, Jemin Maharjan, Vijay Budha, and Anmol Ramtel. They will be competing in both kata and kumite events.

Ravi Shahi and Prashansa Pahadi will serve as judges during the competition. The team’s send-off ceremony was attended by Mauriska Honorary Consul and Advisor to the Nepal Karate Federation Ganesh Karki, RJ Sports proprietor Ramesh Rupakheti, and IC Director of Samriddhi School, Bibek Shah, among others. During the event, RJ Sports also presented sponsored t-shirts to the team.
