Delhi High Court Postpones Hearing on PM Modi’s Educational Qualifications Case Until December

The Delhi High Court has decided to postpone the hearing on a petition seeking the submission of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s educational qualification certificates until December. According to the legal news website Bar & Bench, dedicated to legal correspondence, the case was listed before a division bench comprising Chief Justice D.K. Upadhyay and Justice Tejas Kariyawasam. No hearing took place on Tuesday regarding the matter.

Meanwhile, the Gujarat High Court on Tuesday dismissed a petition concerning Modi’s educational qualifications. According to Live Loka, the petition was filed by Aam Aadmi Party convenor Arvind Kejriwal, who sought to overturn a directive by the Central Information Commission (CIC) instructing Gujarat University to provide details about Modi’s educational qualifications. A division bench of the Gujarat High Court, led by Chief Justice Sunita Agrawal and Justice D.N. Reko, upheld the order issued by a single judge. The bench clarified that there was no need to interfere with the 2016 CIC order or the ₹25,000 fine imposed at that time.
