Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi described his telephone conversation with U.S. President Donald Trump as positive. Modi stated on the social media platform X that the two leaders reviewed the ongoing bilateral cooperation between India and the United States in trade, defense, energy, critical technologies, and other sectors.

Modi also highlighted that both countries agreed to stay in close contact to further advance their comprehensive global strategic partnership. The discussion included regional and international issues as well. The two leaders also exchanged views on efforts to promote global peace and security.
