Yemeni Forces Launch ‘Strategic Offensive’ to Liberate Small Towns Controlled by Houthis
The internationally recognized Yemeni government forces have initiated a ‘strategic’ military operation to reclaim the capital city of Sana’a, currently under the control of Houthi rebels. Brigadier General Majid al-Nujaili of the Yemeni army posted on social media platform X, stating, “Our armed forces have launched a strategic offensive campaign in Sana’a.” He also mentioned that modern military capabilities are being employed during the operation.
The Houthi-affiliated Al-Masirah network reported via Telegram that Saudi Arabia has conducted attacks in Sana’a. Previously, al-Nujaili announced that Yemeni forces successfully regained control over the Bab al-Mandeb strait and recaptured a nearby airport situated in Dhubab, a coastal town in the Taiz province.
