19-Year-Old Arrested for Allegedly Raping 12-Year-Old Girl in Sankhuwasabha

A 19-year-old man has been arrested in Chainpur, Sankhuwasabha, on allegations of raping a 12-year-old girl. The police from the Chainpur Area Police Office apprehended the suspect on Sunday. Authorities have extended the investigation by an additional five days to gather further evidence.

The arrested individual is a resident of Chainpur Municipality–7. Police Inspector Dhan Bahadur Rajbanshi, Information Officer at the Sankhuwasabha District Police Office, stated, “Based on the complaint filed by the victim’s family, police arrested the man on Sunday.” The police publicly disclosed the arrest on Tuesday.

Investigations into the case are ongoing. Local sources have reported that the victim’s family has been threatened to withdraw the case.
