
28 Individuals Arrested with Illegal Drugs Across Various Regions of the Country
Summary: Police teams arrested 28 individuals with illegal drugs from different parts of the country on Wednesday. Those arrested include citizens from Sunsari, Jhapa, Dhanusha, Banke, Kailali, Kathmandu, and Lalitpur. Authorities also recovered cash from some of the suspects. Kathmandu, 19 Chaitra – During routine patrols, police apprehended 28 people with illegal drugs from various locations nationwide. According to the Central Police Information Desk, arrests were made as follows: one individual from Koshi Municipality-8, Bhantabari in Sunsari; seven from Bhadrapur Municipality-5, Narsingh Bagan in Jhapa; one from Kankai Municipality-6, Camp; and three from Mithila Municipality-10, Ratupul in Dhanusha. Additionally, one person was arrested from Dharapani, Dhanushadham Municipality-9; one from Janaki Rural Municipality-5 in Banke; three from Nepalgunj Sub-Metropolitan City-16; two from Tikapur Municipality-9, Baluwatar in Kailali; and one from Lamkichuha Municipality-1, Bharuwa. Furthermore, four suspects were detained from various locations in Kathmandu, two from Kohalpur Municipality-4, Belanpur in Banke, and two from Bagmati Rural Municipality-3, Bhattedanda in Lalitpur. Police also recovered cash from some of the accused. All arrests took place on Wednesday.
