21 People Arrested for Gambling in Rented Apartment in Lalitpur

Police arrested 21 individuals caught gambling in a rented apartment at Green City Villa, Changathali, Ward No. 7, Mahalaxmi Municipality, Lalitpur. Authorities seized NPR 907,975, 39 playing cards, and 16 cowry shells from the suspects.

The villa’s second floor, operated by Dipak Bohora from Sindhupalchok, was rented out by Mohan Krishna Shahi to conduct the gambling activities, said SP and spokesperson Gautam Mishra of the District Police Office, Lalitpur.

The incident took place on the 19th of Chaitra. The fact that gambling is being conducted by renting entire apartments in Lalitpur has raised concerns among security agencies.
