Judge Khimanand Bhusal’s bench declared Visht guilty and has ordered a separate hearing to decide on the imprisonment and fines, as the case involves more than three years of possible incarceration.
On 17th Baishakh, Resham Chaudhary was detained based on a letter issued by Mahiman Singh Visht of the Supreme Court branch concerning the party’s unification manifesto. However, as the matter under consideration in the court had not yet been decided, the letter instructing Chaudhary’s imprisonment was found to be unauthorized and illegal. Chaudhary was released within hours. Subsequently, the Supreme Court branch officer Visht who prepared the letter was arrested.
