Three Arrested for Stealing Mobile Phones and Withdrawing Money from Bank Accounts

A team from the Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office has arrested three individuals involved in stealing mobile phones and withdrawing money from bank accounts. The arrested are 19-year-old Bir Bahadur Tamang from Budhanilkantha, Kathmandu; 18-year-old Janam Tamang from Melung Rural Municipality-5, Dolakha; and 18-year-old Prajwal Rai from Khotang.

According to Superintendent of Police Manohar Bhatt, the suspects stole a mobile phone from a victim, gained unauthorized access to the digital wallet by resetting it, and withdrew NPR 127,600 from the related bank account. All three accused have been handed over to the District Police Office in Kathmandu for further legal action.
