
Nepali Congress Forms Election Bureau
April 15, Kathmandu – The Nepali Congress has established an Election Bureau. This decision was made during the Central Executive Committee meeting held on Wednesday. According to Acting Chief Secretary Krishna Prasad Dulal, the bureau has been formed with Vice Chairperson Pushpa Bhusal appointed as coordinator. Additionally, the meeting announced the formation of the Central Policy, Research, and Training Institute, led by Vice Chairperson Bishwaprakash Sharma.
The Congress has also created a ‘Central Membership Management Committee’ chaired by General Secretary Pradip Paudel. Members of this committee include Deputy General Secretaries Yogendra Chaudhary and Prakash Rasailee “Snehi,” with plans to select one more member later. Similarly, an Organization Deployment and Coordination Committee has been established under the leadership of General Secretary Gururaj Ghimire, with Deputy General Secretaries Bahadur Singh Lama and Muktakumari Yadav as members.
Furthermore, the Other Political Parties Dialogue Committee, chaired by Central Member Arjunanarsingh KC, and the Hierarchy Determination Committee, led by Central Member Chinakaji Shrestha, have also been formed. The meeting approved the Public Program Implementation Procedures-2083, incorporating suggestions from the provincial and district working committees, which will take effect from May 15. To foster greater unity within the party and ensure the 15th General Convention is held within the scheduled timeframe, the meeting decided to assign President Gagan Kumar Thapa the responsibility of engaging in dialogue with party leaders.
