
Two Immigration Officials Removed After Imposing Work Ban on Passports for Dubai Visitors
The Immigration Department has removed two officials from their duties after they reportedly imposed a work prohibition stamp on the passports of travelers heading to Dubai on a visit visa. These two officials have been relieved from their responsibilities at Tribhuvan International Airport’s immigration section and are currently under investigation. They had stamped the passports with the phrase ‘EMPLOYMENT IS STRICTLY PROHIBITED.’ Kathmandu, April 20: Two immigration officials have been relieved of their duties for marking a work ban on the passports of Dubai-bound visitors holding visit visas. According to Immigration Department spokesperson Tikaram Dhakal, these officials have been removed from their posts at Tribhuvan International Airport’s immigration desk and subjected to an inquiry. The officials had stamped ‘EMPLOYMENT IS STRICTLY PROHIBITED’ on the passports of travelers going to Dubai on visit visas.
