
Case Filed Against Employee Arrested for Accepting NPR 30,000 Bribe
April 27, Kathmandu – A case has been filed in the Special Court against Sanjay Chaudhary, Technical Assistant at the Food Technology and Quality Control Department, who was arrested last Chaitra for allegedly accepting a bribe of NPR 30,000. On Monday, the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) submitted a charge sheet in the Special Court demanding fines and punishment under Section 3 of the Anti-Corruption Act, 2059.
According to the commission, Chaudhary was caught on Chaitra 16 while harassing a service recipient by demanding a bribe in exchange for renewing an industrial license. At the time of arrest, he was found in possession of the NPR 30,000 bribe.
