Hark Sampang Opposes Policy Forcing Landless People to Live on Streets

April 21, Kathmandu – Harkraj Rai, Chairman of the Labor Culture Party, has strongly condemned the government’s move to clear squatter settlements. On Monday, visiting the squatter settlement removed by the government in Thapathali, Kathmandu, Chairman Rai stated that policies forcing poor and landless citizens to live on the streets are unacceptable. He emphasized that squatters are also Nepali citizens and their rights to residence, food, and shelter must be respected.
