
Instruction Issued to Implement School Bus Directives in Bharatpur Metropolitan City
The Chitwan District Traffic Police Office has directed the implementation of the school bus directive following mechanical inspections of 144 school buses operating in Bharatpur Metropolitan City. The inspection revealed the absence of dustbins for waste disposal, fire extinguishers, and first aid materials, resulting in a 15-day deadline to comply with the directive. Additionally, health checks were conducted on 250 school bus drivers, and air pollution tests were performed on 173 buses, with 54 buses found to emit smoke.
School buses operating within Bharatpur Metropolitan City have been instructed to comply with the directive. The district traffic police office carried out mechanical inspections of the school buses and health examinations of their drivers within the metropolitan area. After a three-day inspection revealed non-compliance with the directive, the buses were immediately ordered to implement measures according to the School Bus Directive, 2074.
According to Chief Police Inspector Anil Thapa of the office, mechanical inspections were conducted on 144 school buses operating in the market area. He reported issues such as lack of regular maintenance and failure to replace tires as per regulations. Inspector Thapa emphasized that the absence of dustbins for waste disposal, fire extinguishers, and first aid kits in these buses posed significant problems, leading to instructions for immediate compliance with the directive.
