
Second Open Judo Competition to Be Held
Champions Judo Academy is set to organize the second open judo competition on Jestha 23. The event will feature four weight categories, with two categories each for men and women. The first-place winners will receive NPR 5,000, the runners-up NPR 3,000, and third-place finishers NPR 2,000, along with gift hampers.
At a program held in Kathmandu on Baisakh 29, Saroj Maharjan, Director of Champions Judo Academy, provided details about the competition. For men, contests will be held in the under 73 kg and under 100 kg weight classes, while for women, competition will take place in the under 57 kg and under 78 kg categories.
Arrangements have been made for participation by foreign athletes as well. This one-day event will be held at the hall of the multi-purpose Martial Arts Center (MMAC) located in Khusibun.
