Elderly Woman Dies from Electric Shock in Kapilvastu

Jasmati Gharti, a 70-year-old woman from Jotpur, Buddha Bhumi Municipality-4 in Kapilvastu, died after suffering an electric shock. She was seriously injured while cutting grass in her own field when she came into contact with an electric motor connected there. Jasmati was receiving treatment at the district hospital in Taulihawa, but she succumbed to her injuries. Authorities are conducting further investigations into the incident. On May 15, police confirmed that the fatal electric shock occurred Friday morning. The police central news desk stated that she was critically injured by an electric shock from the motor installed in her field while cutting grass. Further inquiries into the case are underway.
