Nepali Congress Vice President Bishwaprakash Sharma Announces Policy to Unite Factions and Strengthen the Party
Nepali Congress Vice President Bishwaprakash Sharma has announced a policy aimed at breaking down factions within the party to make it stronger. He also revealed plans to assign responsibilities to individuals who did not participate in the special general convention.
On May 18 in Kathmandu, Sharma made these statements while addressing the ‘Provincial and Local Level Province-Centered Provincial Gathering’ held in Dhulikhel, Kavre, starting Monday. He said, “If responsibilities are given only to those who participated in the special convention, it will strengthen divisions. However, by including those who did not participate and progressively assigning them responsibilities, with plans to include more, we consider this the way to dissolve factions and empower the party.”
The Vice President also urged active party members to update their memberships. He stated, “It might be appropriate not to trust Gagan Thapa, but trust your own ward-level party leaders.” Additionally, he argued that there is no need to harbor doubts or mistrust regarding the membership update process.
