The secretariat meeting held on May 18 is preparing to make a decision on this matter on May 22. According to sources, a detailed discussion on the election results will only take place after the task force is established. Kathmandu, May 18 – The Nepali Congress is set to decide on forming a task force to analyze election outcomes. In today’s secretariat meeting, a proposal was presented to create a task force led by Vice President Ram Bahadur Thapa Badal. According to the meeting sources, “A proposal has been made to form a task force including office bearers and provincial leadership under Badal’s leadership.” The final decision regarding this will be made in the secretariat meeting on May 22. Sources indicate that comprehensive deliberation on the election results will proceed only once the task force is formed. “Leaders expressed their views on the political situation, but broader discussions have been halted due to the proposal to form the task force,” the source added. Within the party, demands for restructuring have been intensifying alongside the review of election results.
