Sindhuli Police Launches ‘Smart Control Room’ with Computer-Aided Dispatch System
To enhance public security in Sindhuli district, a computer-aided dispatch system has been introduced under the ‘Smart Control Room’ initiative. Through this system, police units across the district will be able to receive immediate notifications via the ‘100 App’. The Smart Control Room is expected to facilitate real-time tracking and enable investigation processes without paperwork.
The implementation of the computer-aided dispatch system marks a modernization of public security in Sindhuli. This represents the first integrated and technology-based emergency response system deployed at the district level in Nepal. The Smart Police Control Room was inaugurated within the office premises by Upendra Kumar Pokharel, Mayor of Kamalamai Municipality, and Skim Shrestha, Chief District Officer, with the objective of delivering technology-friendly services.
According to Lal Dhwaj Suvedi, Chief of Sindhuli District Police Office, the Smart Police Control Room will use the ‘100 App’ to promptly transmit information to all subordinate units throughout the district. This system is expected to make relevant police posts and area police offices more accountable, ensure information is systematically recorded, and eliminate delays in receiving vital notifications.
Police officials noted that the office head will be able to generate various reports in Excel format for data analysis, monitor daily activities and protest programs, and increase responsibility among deployed officers more efficiently. The system aims to simplify field reporting of incidents, make crime investigations more objective and effective, and implement the ‘paperless’ concept in practice by minimizing administrative paperwork.
