Province Chief Devkota Emphasizes Citizens’ Access and Equitable Benefits Distribution as Key to Strengthening the Republic

Bagmati Province Chief Deepak Prasad Devkota stated that ensuring easy access for citizens and the fair distribution of state-provided benefits are essential for strengthening the republic. On the occasion of Republic Day, at an event organized by the Bagmati Province Republic Main Ceremony Committee, he highlighted the shared responsibility of preserving national unity, territorial integrity, and sovereignty through the federal democratic republican governance system while fulfilling aspirations for sustainable peace, good governance, development, and prosperity.

He expressed hopes that Republic Day will inspire greater energy and motivation to unite everyone through mutual harmony, fraternity, and solidarity. He also paid respects to all martyrs who sacrificed their invaluable lives for the establishment of the republic. On this occasion, the Nepal Journalists Association Lalitpur awarded the ‘Provincial Institutional Development Journalism’ prize, along with a cash award of 50,000 rupees each, to its president Ramhari Karki, and journalists Posteraj Adhikari, Sunita Bisht, and Yuvraj Shrestha.
