Election Process Advances for Nepal Foreign Employment Entrepreneurs Association

The election process for the Nepal Foreign Employment Entrepreneurs Association has progressed following directives from the District Administration Office Kathmandu. Dissatisfaction with the leadership style of the association’s chairman, Bhuvansingh Gurung, led two-thirds of the office bearers to collectively resign. A management committee formed under the leadership of advisors has decided to hold a special general assembly and elect a new executive committee on 24 Jestha.

The election procedure was advanced after the mass resignation of two-thirds of the office bearers from the Nepal Foreign Employment Entrepreneurs Association. The District Administration Office Kathmandu instructed the dissolution of the executive committee led by Chairman Bhuvansingh Gurung, formally initiating the process for electing a new executive committee. The management committee informed about the election progress during a press conference held today.

Pursuant to Article 26 (4) (b) of the association’s bylaws, a management committee led by advisors was formed. This committee announced the advancement of the election process, including a special general assembly scheduled for Jestha 24. Rajendra Bhandari, the outgoing chairman and management committee member, explained that the management committee was constituted following the collective resignation of two-thirds of the association’s office bearers in accordance with the bylaws.

Currently, the collection of representatives for the upcoming election is ongoing. Bhandari has requested entrepreneurs to participate in the election, which will take place under special circumstances, to select new leadership. The management committee urges all entrepreneurs to engage in the democratic process, contributing to the association’s stability, institutional development, and the formation of capable leadership.
