Former Indian Captain Bhaichung Bhutia to Attend FIFA World Cup 2026 Pre- and Post-Match Programs in Nepal

Former Indian football captain Bhaichung Bhutia is set to visit Nepal to participate in the special pre-match and post-match programs of the FIFA World Cup 2026. Himalaya Sports, the official broadcaster of the FIFA World Cup 2026 in Nepal, has introduced viewing packages priced at NPR 999 for television and NPR 549 for mobile. Alongside Bhutia, renowned Nepalese football personalities will offer strategic game analyses, share experiences from South Asian football, and provide expert commentary throughout the broadcast.

On May 9, Kathmandu – Bhaichung Bhutia, a prominent figure in South Asian football, has arrived in Nepal to take part in exclusive pre-match and post-match events centered around the FIFA World Cup 2026. Himalaya Sports, as the tournament’s official and exclusive broadcaster in Nepal, announced that Bhutia’s involvement will enhance the appeal of their World Cup broadcast campaign. The pre- and post-match shows will also feature participation from celebrated Nepalese football players and football-related personalities.

The program aims to showcase insights from the South Asian football perspective, highlight Nepalese football viewpoints, and deliver detailed analyses of the World Cup matches. It will include coverage of pre-match preparations, post-match reactions, tactical reviews, and special football content, making the viewing experience more immersive for audiences. With growing enthusiasm for the world’s biggest football competition, the presence of Bhutia and Nepalese football figures is expected to make the World Cup experience especially memorable for Nepalese viewers.

FIFA World Cup 2026 matches will be available to watch in Nepal via Himalaya Sports HD on television and through the digital platform DGO. Viewers can purchase viewing packages at NPR 999 for television and NPR 549 for mobile access via DGO. The World Cup broadcast campaign is supported by Red Bull as the title sponsor, with Proton Emas as co-sponsor. Coca-Cola is participating as a presenting partner, while Real Juice, YY ChauChau, and TVS Motorcycles have also joined as partners.
