Bagmati Province Government Prepares NPR 6.6 Billion Budget, Cabinet Approves

The Bagmati Province government is preparing to present a budget of approximately NPR 6.6 billion for the upcoming fiscal year 2083/84. The Cabinet meeting has approved the budget, which prioritizes physical infrastructure, for submission to the Provincial Assembly.

For the current fiscal year 2082/83, the Bagmati Province government had allocated a budget of NPR 6.747 billion. The Cabinet meeting held today at 4 PM approved the proposal from the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Planning to submit next year’s budget to the Provincial Assembly. The budget is reported to focus primarily on physical infrastructure development.

Following the Cabinet meeting, the budget will be formally presented to the Provincial Assembly.
