Budget for Sudurpashchim Province Presented at Midnight Amid Boycott by CPN and Rastriya Prajatantra Party
Kathmandu – The Sudurpashchim Province government presented its budget at midnight. Finance Minister Bikram Singh Dhami is currently presenting the budget. The Nepal Communist Party (CPN) and the Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) have boycotted the ongoing provincial assembly session where the budget is being discussed.
The budget presentation was initially scheduled for 5 PM on Monday evening. However, due to disputes between the ruling parties and ministers over the budgetary limits, the session was postponed until 9 PM. Ultimately, the meeting convened only at 11:30 PM, when the budget presentation began.
Originally, the provincial assembly was to meet at 5 PM. But disagreements on the budget between the ruling parties caused the session to be pushed back to 9 PM. When the meeting still could not be held at that time, the assembly was called again for 11:30 PM to proceed with the budget discussion.
