YouTube has introduced new updates aimed at helping creators easily monitor their account status, especially their monetization state.

To achieve this, the company has made significant changes to the YouTube Studio interface. These modifications include an integrated list to manage video issues, enhanced estimated revenue display, and improved report monitoring.

The first major update redesigns the ‘Content’ tab within YouTube Studio. This tab now features a separate ‘Notices’ column that consolidates all video alerts and warnings in one place, replacing the previous ‘Monetization’ and ‘Restrictions’ columns.

The list employs clear visual indicators to reflect the video’s status. A red mark denotes a full restriction, indicating the video is either blocked or unable to generate revenue. Yellow signals partial restrictions, such as limited ad revenue or age restrictions. Gray indicates informational notices without any active restrictions.

Creators can hover their mouse cursor over any notice to view the underlying cause of the problem along with potential solutions. This feature helps creators understand and fix issues to maximize their video earnings.

YouTube has also added a new column to show estimated revenue, offering a clear and simple overview of each video’s earnings. Additionally, a new ‘Account Status’ page has been introduced.

This page aggregates detailed information about key channel issues such as monetization problems, copyright claims, and community guideline strikes all in one place. These updates will aid creators in quickly identifying and resolving potential channel issues.

The process of identifying and correcting errors will become more efficient, saving valuable time. According to YouTube, the new Account Status page is already accessible on the YouTube Studio mobile app for both Android and iOS devices.

However, this feature is not yet available on the desktop version.
