100 Days of the Balen Government: How Do Gen Z Activists Assess Its Performance?

Gen Z activists have issued a ‘report card’ for the Balen government. On Asar 20, the government led by Prime Minister Balendra Shah, popularly known as ‘Balen,’ completed 100 days in office. Following the Gen Z uprising on Bhadra 23 and 24 of last year, an interim government was formed. In the subsequent general election conducted by that government, the Rastriya Swatantra Party secured nearly a two-thirds majority. Balendra Shah, who contested as the party’s prime ministerial candidate and emerged victorious, was sworn in as prime minister on Chaitra 13.
On the very first day of its formation, the government publicized a 100-point agenda for administrative reforms. After completing 100 days, several Gen Z activists were asked, “How do you evaluate the government’s work so far?”
