Guglielmo Arena Dismissed as Head Coach of Nepal Men’s Football Team

June 7, Kathmandu – Guglielmo Arena has been relieved from his position as the head coach of the Nepal men’s football team. The All Nepal Football Association (ANFA), the governing body of Nepali football, decided to release him by mutual agreement amid FIFA’s suspension of the association, informed suspended ANFA spokesperson Suresh Shah.
“With Nepali football currently under suspension, both parties agreed to part ways. Once the suspension is lifted, the process to appoint a new coach will commence,” said spokesperson Shah.
ANFA officially appointed the Italian coach Arena as head coach on February 11 last year. FIFA suspended ANFA on May 25 this year.
