Usha Bhandari Appointed Brand Ambassador of Annapurna Spiker Kings

The Nepal Volleyball League franchise team, Annapurna Spiker Kings, has appointed Usha Bhandari as their brand ambassador for a period of three years. Under the agreement, Bhandari will actively promote the team while playing a vital role in grassroots player development and volleyball growth. The team’s co-owner, Subodh Tripathi, expressed confidence that this collaboration with the team representing Gandaki Province will help popularize Nepali volleyball even further. The National Volleyball League (NVL) franchise team, Annapurna Spiker Kings, has appointed Usha Bhandari—an acclaimed main player of the national women’s volleyball team—as their brand ambassador. Owned by Sumira Sports Vencher, Annapurna Spiker Kings signed a three-year contract with star outside hitter Usha Bhandari. According to the agreement, Bhandari will be actively involved in promoting the team and will contribute significantly to grassroots development of volleyball in partnership with the Annapurna Spiker Kings.

Co-owner Subodh Tripathi stated, “We believe that collaboration with Bhandari will make the men’s volleyball franchise league even more popular. We have appointed her to attract audiences to the Covered Hall and to support volleyball development from the grassroots level.” He added, “Volleyball is our national sport, so our goal is to contribute to its development. Since this team represents Gandaki Province, this collaboration gains a special significance.”

Expressing her happiness at becoming a brand ambassador for a volleyball franchise team for the first time, Usha Bhandari said, “Previously, I was associated with football and cricket spheres. I am very happy to serve as the brand ambassador of this league as a volleyball player. Being born in Gandaki Province, the collaboration with Annapurna Spiker Kings came naturally.” The partnership between Annapurna Spiker Kings, which represents Gandaki Province, and Bhandari, who hails from Tanahun, is considered highly significant by the club. Given the strong fan base for volleyball in the region, it is believed this will positively impact the club’s brand expansion, talent development, and grassroots growth.

Bhandari has played domestic volleyball for Nepal Police Club and has also competed professionally with various clubs in the Maldives. She debuted on the national team at the 13th South Asian Games (SAG) in 2019 at the age of 14. Since then, she has consistently delivered outstanding performances at national and international levels. The inaugural Nepal Volleyball League, organized by Kedia Group, will feature six teams. Annapurna Spiker Kings are confident that collaborating with Bhandari will significantly contribute to the overall growth of Nepalese volleyball and the nurturing of new talent.
