Former England Cricketer Kevin Pietersen Expresses Desire to Visit Nepal
Former England cricketer Kevin Pietersen has expressed his desire to visit Nepal, stating that he will definitely plan a trip one day, and conveyed his affection for the country. Actively involved in wildlife conservation, Pietersen praised Nepal and revealed his deep love for rhinos through social media. His visit to Nepal has gained further momentum following a video message released by the official Nepal Premier League (NPL) page.
Kathmandu, 20 July — In a video uploaded on the NPL’s social media page, Pietersen highlighted Nepal’s beauty and confirmed his intention to visit someday. He said, “I will definitely visit your beautiful country. I have heard many great things about Nepal.” Expressing his commitment to wildlife conservation, he mentioned his special fondness for rhinos.
Pietersen stated, “You all know how dedicated I am to wildlife conservation. I really like rhinos. One day, I am coming to Nepal, and I eagerly await that day.” He has been actively engaged in rhino conservation initiatives across Africa. Just a few days ago, Pietersen was inducted into the International Cricket Council’s (ICC) Hall of Fame.
The video message released by the NPL page indicates a strong possibility of his visit coinciding with the Nepal Premier League season. Previously, the legendary West Indies cricketer Brian Lara visited Nepal during the inaugural NPL season, and a few months ago, England cricketer Andrew Flintoff also traveled to Nepal. Additionally, there have been ongoing discussions about a T20 International series between England and Nepal to be held in Kirtipur.
